Dr. Eddy Lee Kwee Heng has over 3 decades of managerial experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors in Malaysia. He is currently a Medical Planner and Private Healthcare Management Consultant who is familiar with the regulatory compliance and licensing on establishment of private hospitals in Malaysia. Prior to his role as a management consultant, Dr. Eddy was the Chief Executive Officer of several private healthcare institutions. During his career, Dr. Eddy has developed a strong track record in formulating corporate strategies and executing business turnarounds for unprofitable private healthcare hospitals.

Relevant Experience

• Chief Executive Officer, Proposed Kencana Specialist Medical Centre at Iskandar Malaysia, Johor Bahru (2018): 329 bedded multidisciplinary private hospital in collaboration with University Malaya Medical Centre. Formulated the business plan, overall strategy and execution plan whilst exploring a strategic partnership with the National Heart Institute (IJN)
• Chief Executive Officer, iHeal Medical Centre Mid Valley (2009): Led planning, setup and commissioning of the medical facility.
• Chief Executive Officer, Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre (2004-2008): 232 bedded corporate private hospital with over 500 staff providing tertiary care and services in Klang, Selangor. Successfully turned around the loss-making business into a profitable medical centre with sustainable growth during his tenure.
• Chief Executive Officer, Bandar Baru Medical Centre, currently known as KPJ Klang Specialist Hospital (2003): 300 bedded Australian designed tertiary care medical centre. Led planning, setup and commissioning of the medical centre.
